Skin cancer including melanoma and non melanoma skin cancer, accounts for the largest numbers of cancers diagnosed in Australia each year. Here on the Gold Coast this is particularly relevant. It is for this reason that we have decided to introduce Broadbeach Family Skin Clinic.

We have undertaken postgraduate training in dermatoscopy, diagnoses, and advanced skin cancer surgery. We are able to offer skin checks to all patients as well as surgery including advanced surgery with graft and flap repairs. We also have close connections with our local dermatology and plastic surgical specialists for any extremely complicated cases.

What to Expect

It is important that you have a skin check once a year. Some people with more complicated skin requirements will be advised by us to have a check more regularly.  Book a 15 minute appointment using our online booking system.  Come along without any make-up or creams applied. We will undress you down to your underwear and do a full check of your skin and mucous membranes from head to toe. We will use our dermatoscope to look closely at any lesions of interest. We may decide together to do some cryotherapy, which is when we freeze away any pre cancerous lesions to prevent surgery later, or you may need a biopsy of a lesion that needs a diagnosis to decide on treatment.  We will advise you on the best way to prevent skin cancer and give you a plan as to what to do next to best look after your particular skin needs.
